The Council of the Supervision Commission of the Private Pension System (SCPPS) gave the approval for changing the authorization documentation of the Aviva Administration Company of a Private Pension Fund SA.
By this approval SCPPS approves the appointment as general director of the company of Eugen Voicu. Eugen Voicu will also hold the position of general director of Certinvest SAI. Besides this position, he will also hold the position of investment director within the pension company. In 1994, Eugen Voicu set up Certinvest Investment Administration Company SA that today is one of the most significant players on the market, having in administration four opened investment funds and an important number of individual portfolios. In January 17, 2008, the National Securities Commission (CNVM) authorized the interfered changes in the organization and functioning way of Certinvest SAI as a result of the change of the stockholders structure, of achieving by Aviva International Holdings Ltd., of the participation of 99,82% of the social capital or of the amount of the veto rights as part of the investment administration company. Aviva becomes thus the majority shareholder of Certinvest SAI; the CNVM decision practically marks the end of the acquisition procedure of Certinvest by Aviva.
